Research of wireless remote medical monitoring system based on GS1011

Abstract : This article analyzes the necessity of wireless telemedicine monitoring, introduces the solution based on the overall structure, hardware distribution and software implementation in detail with the ultra-low power single chip system GS1011 as the core, and verifies it through simulation experiments.

In recent years, with the continuous development of society and the improvement of people ’s living standards and quality, people have put forward new requirements for various aspects of medical services. The society needs a more complete medical system to provide services, and it is required to change the traditional medical model and make We have established a brand-new relationship with hospitals, doctors and patients through telemedicine directly to achieve the purpose of improving medical effects. Therefore, the application of mature WiFi wireless sensor network technology to develop a personal-oriented remote monitoring system has become an urgent need.

1. System overview

In response to the development needs of contemporary medical monitoring systems, combined with the flexibility of WiFi wireless network technology in space movement, the advantages of real-time testing of sensors and the solution of GS1011 ultra-low power single-chip system, the embedded WiFi wireless sensor network The technology is applied in the traditional medical monitoring system to establish a new generation of remote medical monitoring system. The system transmits real-time data to the office computers of doctors and nurses, and can send group messages to doctors and nurses to hold PDAs, so that they can control the situation of their patients. This system will improve the time and space limitations of the traditional medical monitoring system, improve the real-time and flexibility of the medical monitoring system, and is a medical monitoring system that integrates monitoring, medical treatment and information management.

2. Hardware composition and work

In the system, the wireless sensor nodes for monitoring patients form a network in a self-organized form, and the monitoring data is transmitted to the monitoring base station through a multi-hop relay, and the base station device transmits the data to the connected PC. The doctor or nurse can pass The PC obtains the patient's physiological data and makes timely treatment of the patient under supervision. It is mainly composed of monitoring base station, routing node and wireless sensor node. The data collection in the system includes human physiological signals such as body temperature, blood pressure, pulse, electrocardiogram, etc. collected by sensors, and analog signals of human physiological parameters are converted into digital signals to be processed through analog-to-digital conversion. When doctors and nurses leave their posts, the relevant data information can be sent to the handheld PDA in the form of short messages, and the doctors and nurses can control the detailed data information of the patients in time.

The wireless sensor network adopted by the system can cooperatively sense and collect various information in the network distribution area in real time, process it, and then transmit it to the user terminal in a wireless manner. The WiFi technology ensures that the devices can communicate freely and directly, and can also communicate under the coordination of the base station or the access point. At the same time, the IP-based networking technology can be very convenient to achieve seamless connection with the networks that have been installed in enterprises and homes, and it also has better security and system scalability. The core part of the system uses GainSpan's ultra-low power wireless chip GS1011, which integrates 802.11 radio, MAC and baseband, as well as PA, application CPU, RTC, SRAM and flash memory. Support IEEE 802.11, with 802.11i / WPA2 authentication, AES hardware encryption. The structure of GS1011 is shown in Figure 2.1.
