Recently, Seoul Viosys said that the Korean pharmaceutical company Yuhan Corporation used Violeds in the mosquito trap. The mosquito trap uses Violeds UV LEDs to attract mosquitoes and then destroy them. This technology is harmless to the human body because the intensity of ultraviolet light is only two-thousandths of that of natural sunlight, which is only one tenth of that of traditional fluorescent lamps. Performance verification tests have shown that Violeds is four times more likely to attract mosquitoes than traditional mosquito traps.
Seoul Viosys said the mosquito traps achieved the same results in the mosquito test in Korea, Vietnam and Indonesia.
