On December 15, 2016, Shenzhen Longgang District People's Procuratorate approved the arrest of Liu, the first suspect in Shenzhen to sell VR glasses. It is understood that Liu is suspected of taking care of a Tmall flagship store for the purpose of profit-making, in order to increase the sales of online store VR glasses, to attract customers by providing obscene videos, and to disseminate obscene videos to more than 700 people. Up to now, the Shenzhen procuratorate has accepted a total of 9 cases of 27 cases of arresting and selling VR glasses for obscene video, and arrested 7 of them for allegedly spreading obscene articles.
The reporter learned from the Shenzhen Municipal People's Procuratorate that the persons involved in these cases were Taobao practitioners, some were bosses, shopkeepers, some were operating personnel, sales executives, and some were customer service. Among the people involved, the oldest was born in 1986, most of them were after 90, and even minors under the age of 18. The people involved in the case mainly presented obscene videos to customers through two ways: First, establish a special QQ group, sell VR glasses, guide buyers to add their QQ, and then provide resource links to buyers in the QQ group, or directly on the QQ group. The video file; the second is to put the obscene video in the Baidu cloud disk account, let the buyer who received the VR glasses add it as a Baidu cloud disk friend, and then share the resources to the buyer for the buyer to click or download. The person involved in the case said that the obscene video was given to "add sales of VR glasses", "accumulate customer resources" and "customers give praise". Even the person involved said, "It is a hidden rule of the industry to provide obscene and pornographic videos to customers free of charge after selling VR glasses." Judging from the case situation, the way of giving obscene videos has made some online shop operators profitable, and one online shop relies on this monthly sales income of about 3 million yuan.
