Who is the mainstream of VR video and games? Samsung executives

What aspects of the market's investment in VR content tend to reflect on their side may have more potential for development. Earlier, the foreign research institute Greenlight VR surveyed more than 1200 American consumers, aged 18 to 60 years old, including virtual reality users and non-users, and interviewed them about their personal interests in different types of virtual reality applications.

Among them, virtual reality games ranked sixth, with 61% of respondents expressing interest in or interest in virtual reality games. In the first six categories of virtual reality applications, consumers are most interested in tourism and adventure, accounting for 73.5%; film and video recordings, accounting for 67.3%; on-site activities, accounting for 67%; home design, accounting for 65.9% And education accounted for 63.9%.

This is a little different from what the general public thinks is the game or the video is a top-notch. Recently, Nick DiCarlo, Samsung’s senior vice president of immersive and virtual reality technology, said in an interview: “We think video is really important for VR. We are convinced that 360-degree video will help VR become a true mainstream.” Due to the importance of VR video, Samsung will launch five videos for users every day to meet the user's desire for ideas. DiCarlo said: “The production and distribution of 360-degree video let us understand how rich, creative and potential this ecosystem is.”

It is still unclear whether games or videos can eventually lead VR into the mainstream of the general public. It seems to us that they all have possibilities. It may only be a matter of time whether VR is truly recognized and accepted by the public.

Unmanaged Ethernet Switches

The unmanaged switch belongs to the data link layer device. It can identify the MAC address information in the data packet, and then forward it according to the MAC address, and record these MAC addresses and corresponding ports in an internal address table of its own.
The specific workflow is as follows:
(1) When the switch receives a data packet from a port, it first reads the source MAC address in the packet header, so that it knows which port the machine with the source MAC address is connected to;
(2) Go to read the destination MAC address in the header, and look up the corresponding port in the address table;
(3) If there is a port corresponding to the destination MAC address in the table, copy the data packet directly to this port;

(4) If the corresponding port cannot be found in the table, the data packet will be broadcast to all ports. When the destination machine responds to the source machine, the switch can learn which port the destination MAC address corresponds to, and it will not be the next time the data is transmitted. You need to broadcast to all ports again.

Follow IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3x standards
