What is the difference between EPS power supply and UPS power supply?

1, different application areas

In China, EPS power is mainly used for power equipment in the fire protection industry, emphasizing the ability to continuously supply power. The UPS power supply is generally used for precision instrument loads (such as computers, servers and other IT industry equipment), requiring high quality power supply, emphasizing requirements on inverter switching time, output voltage, frequency stability, and pureness of the output waveform.

2, different functions

Both the EPS power supply and the UPS power supply have a mains bypass and an inverter circuit. The functional difference is that the EPS power supply has a continuous power supply function, and generally does not require a high switching time, and special applications require certain requirements. Multiple outputs and monitoring and detection of each output and individual battery. Daily emphasis is placed on bypass power supply, when the utility power fails, it turns to inverter power supply, and the power utilization rate is high. UPS power supply such as online only one way total output, generally emphasizes its three major functions: (A) voltage stabilization (B) uninterrupted power supply (C) can clean the mains. Daily emphasis on rectification / inverter double conversion circuit power supply, inverter failure or overload is only transferred to the bypass supply, power utilization is not high (usually 80% -90%). 3, different structure

The EPS power inverter has a large amount of redundancy. The incoming line cabinet and outgoing line cabinet are all inside the EPS, and the motor load has frequency conversion start. The casing and the wires are fire-retardant, and there are multiple paths of mutual investment, which can be linked with fire fighting. The inverter redundancy of the UPS power supply is relatively small and has nothing to do with fire protection. It does not need to be flame-retardant and has no mutual investment function. EPS power supply is generally perceptual and resistive. It can be equipped with motors, lighting, fans, pumps, etc. It is an emergency fire protection product. It is a dedicated emergency fire lighting power supply for emergency power supply. The UPS power load is a capacitive load. The main band device is generally a computer. It is mainly used in large-scale computer rooms to ensure uninterrupted power supply and voltage regulation.
