A Konka LCD TV model LED40F3300CE was experiencing issues where the power indicator turned on and off along with the program. The unit uses a three-in-one motherboard with part number 35016890. Initial checks showed that the 12V power supply was stable, though it had slight fluctuations. Based on this, the power supply section was considered normal.
However, there was a possibility of overcurrent or short circuit in the load area. Upon testing the low-voltage power supply section, it was found that the resistance between 12V and 5VA to ground was almost zero. Additionally, when booting up, the 5V supply was dropping to 3.3V and 2.5V, indicating potential issues with the voltage regulator circuits.
It was difficult to pinpoint the exact location of the short circuit without further testing. The most effective method in such cases is to perform a "burn-in" test, which involves running the system under load to observe behavior. This approach was used, and after replacing the faulty capacitor C876, the issue was resolved and the TV functioned normally.
