Use:

The instrument is designed to measure the maximum dip angle formed by non-cohesive soil and its natural slope relative to the horizontal plane under water conditions.

Instructions:

Take a representative air-dried sample and select the appropriate disc (the screw on the reverse side can be replaced). The 100mm disc is suitable for particles smaller than 2mm, while the 200mm disc is ideal for non-cohesive soils with particle sizes less than 5mm.

Use a small spoon to carefully pour the sample into the groove around the center of the iron. Maintain the sample height at approximately 1cm above the surface until the edge of the disc is fully filled.

Turn the handwheel smoothly to lift the disc from the sample in the tank. Adjust the baffle to secure the handwheel and mark the scale at the contact point of the central iron. Finally, calculate the angle of repose using the relevant testing procedure.
