Future Lighting Solutions today unveiled a unique line of light engine products designed to accelerate the development, prototyping and delivery of solid-state lighting applications and reduce the development cost of luminaires. These light engines are the first to be introduced in the newly developed simpleLED program. There are 12 specifications and more than 600 custom options, all featuring LUXEON® Rebel LEDs graded according to ANSI standards and integrated with key components.
The 12 ready-to-use configurations include 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 9 3000K, 3500K, or 4000K color-temperature white LEDs in line, round, and square layouts. . Each kit includes a board, LED, Tyco Electronics connector and 10mm, 20mm, Tri-Lens or ultra-wide angle Carclo optics. These components can be used for recessed downlights, low hanging lights, troffer lights, wall washers, showcase lights, cabinet lights, table lights/table lamps, and street lights/area lighting.
The custom configuration of the product can be easily done online using Future's new light engine customization tool Light Engine Builder, which can be shipped within four weeks. Product delivery will be slightly delayed if custom color LEDs or other optics are required.

All of the light engines in this program offer three-year warranty and the benefits of the LUXEON Rebel platform, such as the ability to support drive currents up to 1000mA, ANSI color grading requirements, and a minimum color rendering index (CRI) of 80. In addition, these LED products have passed UL Recognized, so new luminaires developed using Future's light engine are eligible for UL LISted without having to conduct a comprehensive system LED component survey.
