Usage:
The instrument is designed to measure the maximum dip angle formed by non-cohesive soil and its natural slope relative to a horizontal plane under water conditions.

Instructions:
Take a representative air-dried sample and select the appropriate disc (the screw on the back of the disc can be replaced). The 100mm disc is suitable for particles smaller than 2mm, while the 200mm disc is ideal for non-cohesive soils with particle sizes less than 5mm.
Use a small spoon to carefully pour the sample into the groove around the center of the iron, keeping the height of the sample about 1cm above the surface until the outer edge of the disc is completely filled.
Turn the handwheel smoothly to lift the disc from the sample in the tank. Secure the handwheel with the baffle and mark the scale at the point where the middle iron contacts the cone. Finally, calculate the angle of repose according to the standard testing procedure.
