After rinsing for about 2 minutes, the liquid is absorbed, and then the beads are immersed in distilled water for another 2 minutes before being dried.
According to technicians, this approach is more thorough and efficient. It has been proven that the flow rinse method is also effective for washing microtiter plates. To enhance the effect, you can increase the water flow or pressure during the process, so that the water directly impacts the surface of the plate holes, leading to better cleaning results.
Method 2: Soaking
1. First, drain or dry the reaction solution in the wells.
2. Wash the plate once with the washing solution—fill the wells with the solution and then remove it.
3. Soak the plate by filling the wells with the washing solution and letting it sit for 1–2 minutes. Gently shake the plate intermittently. Do not shorten the soaking time arbitrarily.
4. Drain the liquid from the wells. Dry thoroughly using a water pump, vacuum pump, or by blotting the excess liquid onto a clean towel or absorbent paper after removing it.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for 3–4 times (or as specified). In the indirect method, if the background is too high, you may need to increase the number of washes or extend the soaking time.
