Jin Yujie: NXP Semiconductors (hereinafter referred to as "NXP") LED driver products mainly focus on indoor lighting, street lighting and LED backlighting.

NXP's LED driver family has unique advantages in indoor lighting applications. We introduced the world's first integrated dimmable mains LED driver, the SSL2101, a small size switch mode power supply (SMPS) controller IC designed to drive LED devices and provide dimming capability to Further improve the energy efficiency of LED Lighting. The SSL2101 can drive a variety of lighting systems with different power requirements, including LED retrofit lamps, LED modules, LED spotlights, spotlights, and LED strings for store displays. The dimming capability of the SSL2101 provides a rare opportunity for lighting system designers to design more energy efficient systems, and is extremely cost effective. The device has high integration, low total number of electronic components, and minimal board space. The division is able to take full advantage of the advantages of LED dimming characteristics and is very popular in the market. In the LED Street Light scheme, our program highlights the high efficiency. In terms of LED backlight, we have taken advantage of our high-pressure process and introduced a chip that can drive 150 LED strings to support a high-efficiency LED edge backlight solution.

Jin Yujie: At present, LED drivers are difficult in indoor lighting, mainly in terms of compatibility with the mains and heat dissipation: in terms of street lamps, they are mainly high and low temperature reliability, and in backlight driving, they are mainly efficiency and current stability. Of course other comprehensive performance is also important. For example, the NXP SSL2101/SSL152x series products are compatible with full-voltage mains, and their working environment temperature can reach above 100 °C. The SSL1750 plus the UBA3070's streetlight drive solution achieves 90% efficiency. NXP backlight driver switch mode DC-DC driver chip UBA3070 can support 600V output voltage, achieving more than 95% efficiency.

Jin Yujie: NXP's LED driver products are in the leading position in indoor lighting, especially in dimming technology.

In terms of backlight driving, the current market is fiercely competitive. NXP's backlight driver products have advantages in efficiency and edge backlighting solutions. For example, our UBA3070 product, LED backlight for LCD TVs, has the advantages of high efficiency and high output voltage.

Jin Yujie: White-light edge backlight will be the mainstream in the short to medium based on its cost performance. RGB direct backlight will gradually occupy the mainstream with the improvement of LED light efficiency.
