Shenzhen Communications Commission: Dropping a small blue bike is a violation of multiple interviews

According to the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, Didi Chuxing announced on January 17 that its shared bike platform will be rolled out in Beijing and Shenzhen in the coming weeks. This includes the return of its sponsored "Little Blue Bicycles" to the streets. However, the Shenzhen Transportation Commission issued an official statement on the evening of January 19, warning that no operations under the name of "Little Blue Bicycles" should take place in Shenzhen until the deposit and maintenance issues are properly addressed. The commission emphasized that any vehicles currently placed in Shenzhen are being operated illegally. The statement also urged the public to be cautious when using these services to avoid potential losses or legal complications. As part of its response to media reports about the resumption of Xiaolan Bicycle operations in the city, the Shenzhen Transportation Commission confirmed it has been actively working with relevant authorities to address the issue. First, the commission has held multiple discussions with Didi Chuxing regarding the city's regulations for internet-based rental bicycles. These include guidelines on suspending operations in public spaces and ensuring proper vehicle management during the standardization process. Second, the commission has received complaints about the illegal deployment of Didi’s bikes and is currently investigating the matter with other departments. If confirmed, strict actions will be taken in accordance with existing regulations. Third, while the commission welcomes Didi’s efforts to help resolve social concerns like the Xiaolan Bicycle deposit issue, it stressed that no operations can officially begin in Shenzhen until all required procedures are completed. Finally, the commission reminded citizens that any vehicles deployed by Didi in Shenzhen at this time are considered illegal. It strongly advises the public to exercise caution and make informed decisions to protect their rights and interests. As the situation continues to develop, further updates from the Shenzhen Transportation Commission are expected. Until then, users are encouraged to stay informed and avoid engaging with unapproved services.
