On April 22, Jingdian (2448) and the Formosa Plastics Group's South Asia Optoelectronics cooperation case had a new progress. Jingdian participated in the cash increase and invested NT$839 million to acquire a 40% stake.
Jingdian said that after the cooperation between the two parties was announced in 2009, it has sent personnel to South Asia Optoelectronics to adjust the machine. At present, the MOCVD machine has not yet reached the scale economy, but there is an opportunity to make a profit in a single month before the end of the year.
Jingdian pointed out that South Asia Optoelectronics will initially lock small and medium-sized panel backlight applications, including mobile phone backlights and mobile phone keypad backlights. In the future, South Asia Optoelectronics will develop LED lighting.
