The SAA7114H is a multi-standard video decoder that supports I2C bus control. It is primarily used to convert various TV input signals into a standardized YUV format. The application circuit is illustrated in the figure below.

Pin 25, 51, 75, and 1 (VDDDEl/2/3/4) are for the digital circuit power supply at 3.3V, sourced from U703 in the power management circuit.

Pins 11, 17, 23 (VDDA2/1/0) provide analog power at 3.3V, also supplied by U703.

Pins 33, 43, 58, 68, 83, 93 (VDDDl1/12/13/14/15/16) are for the digital format circuit power supply, operating at 3.3V via the same power management unit.

Pin 8 (VDDX) powers the clock oscillation circuit with 3.3V, again provided by U703.

Pin 20 (AI11) is the Y (brightness) signal input, typically coming from an S-terminal connection.

Pin 16 (AI21) is the C (chrominance) signal input, also from the S-terminal.

Pin 12 (AI23) is for AV1 video input, connected via an external AV plug.

Pin 31 (SCL) is the I2C bus clock line, connected to pin 207 of U400 (gm5010).

Pin 32 (SDA) is the I2C data line, connected to pin 208 of U400 (gm5010).

Pin 27 (CE) is the reset voltage input, connected to pin 13 of U400 (gm5010).

Pin 7 (XTALI) is the clock input, using an external 24.576MHz voltage-controlled crystal oscillator.

Pin 6 (XTALO) is the clock output, also connected to the same external oscillator.

Pins 54, 55, 56, 57, 59, 60, 61, 62 are responsible for outputting 8-bit YUV data signals, which are then fed into pins 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 115, and 116 of U400 (gm5010).

Pin 97 (TRST) is grounded.

Pin 80 (XTRI) is also grounded. Pins 13, 14, 18, and 19 are connected to external filter capacitors.

Pins 9, 15, 24, 21, 26, 50, 76, 100, 38, 63, 88, and 5 are all ground connections.
